North Woolwich Station.

Great Eastern Railway class 209 0-4-0 loco no.229

The station was interesting because instead of the normal run-round loop there was a small turntable
at the end of line so that locomotives could be turned before running round their trains for the return journey.

North Woolwich station closed in December 2006.
The excellent little museum housed in the former Great Eastern Railway terminus building
closed in 2008. The stock and all visible external exhibits were removed by 2011.
